About Audely

The podcast and audiobook player for your local files.

Audely started because I had built up an offline collection of podcast downloads, audiobooks, and archived shows. General audio players could play the files but did not organise them as shows and episodes or track listening progress. Podcast apps had those features but generally expected an RSS feed.

The app combines those two things. You choose the folders that contain your audio, and Audely organises the files into shows and episodes. The source files stay in place and are not rewritten when you edit library information.

Audely does not require an account and does not include analytics or tracking. Audio is not uploaded. Transcripts are generated on the device. If you enable Pro sync or cloud backups, the supported library data is stored in the private iCloud account already signed in on the device.

The free version includes playback, unrestricted library management, metadata search, and short saved-transcript previews. Pro adds full transcript reading and search, on-device generation, sync, cloud backups, and beautiful themes.
