Generate and search transcripts
Download a local model, generate transcripts on Mac, iPhone, or iPad, and search spoken words privately.
Audely generates transcripts on your device. Source audio is not uploaded to a transcription service.
Download a transcript model
Audely Pro is required to read or search full transcripts, download the transcript model, and generate transcripts. Open Audely’s transcript settings and choose an available model. The model must finish downloading before generation can begin. Larger models may improve results but require more storage and processing time.
Generate a transcript
Mac
Open an episode’s transcript actions to generate one transcript. Mac also provides batch generation and optional automatic generation when importing audio.
iPhone and iPad
Open an episode’s actions and choose the transcript generation action. Mobile generation is manual and handles one episode at a time.
Keep Audely open and the source file available while generation is running. You can cancel an active generation from the transcript progress or episode action surface.
Read and search
With Audely Pro, open an episode’s full transcript to read its text. Library search can include spoken words from saved transcripts, making it possible to find an episode even when the phrase does not appear in its title or notes.
Remove a transcript
Use the episode’s transcript action to remove generated transcript data. This does not remove or change the source audio.
If Pro ends
Audely keeps existing transcript data and shows a short preview on the episode page. Opening the full transcript or searching transcript text opens Audely Pro. You can still remove one or all transcripts, cancel active work, and remove the downloaded model without Pro. Audely does not delete transcripts, library data, or source audio when Pro ends.
Privacy and sync
Generation is local. If you later enable sync, saved transcript data can move through your private iCloud database as library metadata. Audely never uploads source audio as part of transcript sync.
